My Turkish Lentil Soup

Around the end of February, I go seriously sick with a server respiratory infection and an acute sinus infection. While I was dropping off my prescription from the doctor and waiting for it to be filled at Walmart, I thought I do a little shopping.  Lately, I have been wanting some Turkish lentil soup so I went ahead and purchased the ingredients and a small crock pot. Which I did not get around to using because it is 2 quarts. So I need to find recipes for 2 quarts crock pots.

The ingredients being:
1 lb. of green lentils, pre-soak the beans or else the beans will take forever to cook

1 red onion, diced

½ lb. of minced lamb, though this can be optional to not use or you can use ground beef if you cannot find mince lamb

4 tablespoons of butter

1 tablespoon of minced garlic

1 beef bouillon cubes

Salt and pepper for taste

4 cups of water

In a 4 quarts’ pot over a medium fire, take 1 tablespoon of butter to sauté  and stir the diced red onion and garlic for a few minutes. Then add in the minced lamb until it is cooked well.

Next added the lentil beans and stir well before adding in the water.  Stir well before adding the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter and the 1 beef bouillon cubes.

Let it simmer on a low fire for about an hour.

Add salt and pepper for taste. if you want

Now after I did all this to fix this soup, as I reading online I realized that recipe that I did could have been wrong, however, since I learned how to make this soup from my ex-mother-in-law, then I made it right.

Because I dare not question her recipe!

The Psychology of Communication

So I ran across this topic in Pinterest and I really had to stop what I was initially doing to read this article about the Psychology of Communication.  Y'all know that I am about to have fun with this, right?   Here are two words that most of us do not know how to use well: psychology (and Lord help us!) and communication (Our Father, give us, all those on this earth the understanding of having patience with ourselves as we form our words to correctly come out of our mouths . . . . ) In today's time our biggest problem is that we don't listen to understand before replying.  (Can I get an AMEN! up in here?) In today's time, our biggest problem is that before we speak we do not grasp the full understanding of what the other person is trying to communication to us. (Can I get another AMEN! up in here?) In today's time, our biggest problem is that we do not full express yourselves right to fully received a proper and correct response.  (I ...

Coming in January!

Happy New Year Everyone! How many of you are happy that the Christmas holiday are over with? January is here now and it is time to start thinking about what we want to accomplish in 2016.  First let's acknowledge that it is 2016!  WOW!  The only thing I can remember about 2015 is my son accomplishments that I am so proud of him for.  Not one but two MOS in the US Army and is now living in Seattle for his new job.  He's adapting and I am praying for him to have much success while he is there. In 2015 we seen more event things that will specificity impact on our culture in the years to come.  U.S. has had to deal with the forth coming of racism between City Police and African Americans because of several shooting that were not necessary to use.  Because of this our nation has had riots that have gone beyond the extent of "How could you?" and "Why would you destroy your city like that?" ISIS has made itself know throw the world with some event...
